So, in the last week, I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on makeup. I keep telling myself it’s for prom, it’s for prom… This has become my coping strategy for stress, haha. That’s probably not a good thing, but yolo. Okaaay let’s get started! I’ll go high to low price wise.
- Urban Decay Naked Palette
So we all know how much I freaking love this thing. It was $60 at Sephora, $67 with tax (which broke my heart and my wallet) but it was worth every penny. Amazing colours, amazing quality, you know the rest. If you don’t have one save all yo’ dolla dolla billz and get yourself one of these puppies. unnffff.
- Benefit’s High Beam
Just got this today but I already love it! It’s not like a white powder you use to highlight, it’s this pearly liquid that’s kind of pinkish, and it’s amazing. You barely need any, like 3 drops, and you’re good to go. This thing will last forever! You can’t even tell you’re wearing it, it just looks so natural, and it looks like my cheek bones are a lot nicer than they actually are! It was $30 at Shoppers, but like $33 with tax, so a little more than I was hoping to spend, but this is a quality product so I don’t mind.
- Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin
Oh my gaaaahd. Okay so previously I had been using Maybelline’s Fit Me foundation. Last week I found out that it’s like the worst foundation you can buy, and I stopped using it for a week, and suddenly most of my acne went away. So that shit had been giving me some pretty bad skin. To replace it, I bought this new Revlon stuff, which is known as the best drugstore foundation out there! It lives up to all the hype, I think. My Fit Me made my skin look oily as fuck as soon as I put it on, but this stuff doesn’t look oily at all and it has buildable coverage for all of my disgusting horrid blemishes. It’s so lightweight though, which I don’t understand. In my experience, the fuller coverage I’ve wanted, the grosser my foundation felt. But this stuff is soooooo light I can’t even comprehend it! Perf perf perf. It’s normally $18, but I got it on sale for $14, which is pretty decent.
- Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream
I bought this to use as a face primer. I didn’t own primer, and this stuff was on sale, so I thought what the heck. It says it blurs imperfections, but the coverage is so light that I didn’t notice anything. But that’s not what I bought it for. I didn’t buy it to cover anything, haha, or create a “natural looking glow” (which I didn’t notice). The main point of it for me was to moisturize and keep my foundation in place, which it did a pretty decent job of, considering it was only $10. I wish it was more of a cream, like the name implies, but it’s actually really runny and scary to squeeze out of the tube…
- Essence’s Stay All Day Concealer
This was like $2 and it’s glorious! It really does stay all day. It’s just a basic concealer in a tube, it does the trick, and it’s awesome. Nuff said there.
- Essence’s Lash and Brow Gel Mascara
Another $2 brilliant purchase. I got it for my eyebrows, not my lashes. I’ve never used brow gel before but now I don’t understand how I got by without it. My stupid eyebrows would always move everywhere and they’re kind of long (which is gross, but I trimmed them a teensy bit), so this stuff keeps them in place and kind of sets the pencil and brow powder I put on. Solid deal.
And um yea that’s my haul. I bought all of this forgetting that I have a huge E.L.F. order coming in the mail next week so I’ll show you guys all that stuff when it gets here! I’m so excited about it!
Let me know what you guys think of these products in my ask here :) :) xoxoxoxo love you all
